Press Release: FOUR SEASONS HOTEL AUSTIN HOSTS FALL BARBECUE WITH BIG GREEN EGG PITMASTER AND KOW STEAKS
Locals and visitors will get an extra dose of deliciousness during this year’s Austin City Limits festival thanks to a one-of-a-kind “backyard barbecue” at Four Seasons Hotel Austin.
Taking place Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, the event will merge the talents of Ciclo Chef Gerardo Lopez and Big Green Egg’s official pitmaster and guest chef Jack Arnold. Surrounded by green lawns filled with three XL Big Green Egg grills, the pair will share tips and grilling techniques with attendees while serving up a full menu of favourites such as hickory-smoked ribeye aguachile, brisket sliders with caramelised onion and spicy truffle mayo and tri tip tacos made with American wagyu from KOW Steaks.
“I’m honoured to be able to bring the Four Seasons Barbecue Tour to the barbecue capital of America,” says Arnold. “My family roots are in Texas so I know there’s no better place to spend a fall weekend enjoying world-class barbecue and unforgettable views of Lady Bird Lake.”
Arnold learned the art of charcoal cooking at the age of nine from his father, a Texas native who also mastered the skill of Texas-style barbecue at a young age. Ever since, he’s sought to bring his passion for a good backyard barbecue to the world, an objective met with much success through his role as a barbecue specialist with Big Green Egg.
In addition to the mouth-watering menu of grilled meats, Arnold and Lopez will serve up thickly sliced ora king salmon sashimi infused with chili ponzu and spring onion, corn elotes and truffle, sweet potato and regular french fries, among other dishes.
The event is USD 95 per person and a cash bar is available for libations. Reservations are highly recommended.
